Medical Device Catalog in AR
As competitive as the medical device industry is, anything that can help give sales reps an edge is welcome. To further complicate matters, medical device companies tend to have a large catalog of products. It’s just not feasible to equip every member of your sales force with physical hardware for each product.
Augmented reality is extremely powerful in this space because it allows a “hands-on” feel for products without actually putting all of those physical products out in the sales field.
Another major benefit of using augmented reality for showing how medical devices work is now the surgeon can more easily show the patient what is actually going to happen during surgery.
We created both the cube (which acts as the AR marker) and the mobile application. The cube only works with our app, which means that surgeons can be given the cubes and a link to download the app to use during patient consultations.
